The La Spezia to Cinque Terre train needs about 9 min to bring you from La Spezia "train station La Spezia Centrale" to Riomaggiore.

Trains to Cinque Terre from Florence, Venice, Pisa, Rome

Here you can find an overview of the most popular train connections to reach the Cinque Terre from the most important cities:
A) Florence to Cinque Terre train
The train from Florence to Cinque Terre takes about 2,5 - 3,5 hours including train change.
You can use the fast train “Frecciabianca” or a Intercity from Pisa Centrale to La Spezia.
Then take the regional train from La Spezia to Cinque Terre, for example to Riomaggiore (the easternmost village).
B) Venice to Cinque Terre train
The train from Venice to Cinque Terre takes about 5 to 7 hours including train change.
There are different possibilities to come to the Cinque Terre passing Florence, Bologna or Milano.
You can use the fast train “Frecciaargento” from Venice to Florence or Bologna.
As an alternative there is another fast train “Frecciabianca” from Venice to Milan.
After the fast train you will have to use a Intercity to reach La Spezia or Sestri Levante.
From there you can take the regional train to Cinque Terre.
C) Pisa to Cinque Terre train
The train from Pisa to Cinque Terre takes about 1 to 1,45 hours including train change.
You can select between the fast train “Frecciabianca” or the Intercity from Pisa to La Spezia.
Reaching La Spezia you take the regional Cinque Terre train.
D) Rome to Cinque Terre train
The train from Rome to Cinque Terre takes about 3,5 to 5 hours including train change.
We recommend the fast train “Frecciabianca” from Rome to La Spezia.
Then take the regional train from La Spezia to Cinque Terre, for example to Riomaggiore.
Train from Genoa to Cinque Terre, train from Nice to Cinque Terre
If you want to come by train from Genoa or Nice to Cinque Terre, we recommend to take first the faster ICE trains to the city Sestri Levante.
Sestri Levante is located only 45 km west of Monterosso al Mare.
If you are arrived at the train station Sestri Levante you can change to the regional train “treno regionale” to Cinque Terre – this is the fastest and most convenient way.

- Sestri Levante - Monterosso (ca. 24 min)
- Sestri Levante - Riomaggiore (ca. 36 min)
