In 2022, the producer of superyachts announced an order intake of 2.8 billion euros for the next 3 years. Azimut is the world's largest yacht manufacturer.
Unfortunately, you cannot visit their ships at the Genoa boat show if you don't have an appointment with a salesperson or without a concrete interest in buying it.

RIVA (FERRETTI GROUP)
The legendary RIVA has a long history: founded in 1842, it is part of the Ferretti Group since 2000.
The "Made in Italy" brand RIVA is known for its timeless retro style, typically with lots of wood and black and white images from the 60s.

The luxury yacht and superyacht manufacturer presented the Sanlorenzo Sl120 Asimmetric with a length of 36 m.
Massimo Perotti is President and CEO of the Sanlorenzo Group. His secret of success is based on sustainability and technology, service and supply chain to be always one step ahead.
Sanlorenzo produces yachts and superyachts from 24 to 70 meters in length, designed and made to measure.
The company was founded in 1958, the headquarters is located in Ameglia (La Spezia) which is also a site for the production of medium and large yachts. The production of superyachts takes place at the La Spezia shipyard.
The company is listed on the stock exchange (stock ISIN: IT0003549422). In 2022 the Sanlorenzo Group employs around 500 people with a turnover of around 500 million euros.
Sanlorenzo was the first company in the nautical sector to involve leading international designers in the creation of interiors for yachts.

NOVAMARINE
At the Boat Show Genoa NOVAMARINE has presented inflatable boats such as Black Shiver (16/25m) that offer very high speed, robustness, low fuel consumption and large deck areas (for up to 25 people).
The reduced draft allows you to enjoy coasts with very shallow water.
For some inflatable boats you can choose between an outboard motor or a surface propeller. E.g. the Black Shiver 120 is 12m long and can reach a remarkable speed of 56 knots thanks to 3 outboard motors with a total of 1350 hp, alternatively with the 880 hp surface propeller it reaches 45 knots.
Francesco Pirro is the CEO of NOVAMARINE. This brand was born in 1983 in Sardinia/Olba. NOVAMARINE is well known in the world of boats because it revolutionised the field of rhibs with the foam filled tubular – rigid hull.
The General Manager Leandro Benchi says, that this allows them to produce actual boats with unique design features. The company that makes it possible is SNO. They have pushed the boundaries into designing larger boats and they have ventured the rhibs into professional sphere. The images of NAVY Seals are known worldwide.

SUNSEEKER
I love the name of this British company and the design.
I had the pleasure of visiting the SUNSEEKER 88 yacht of 88 feet, a real luxury and comfort for 8 guests and 4 crew members.
However, the purchase price exceeds 10 million euros excluding taxes. The sellers are very friendly and you can visit the ships by appointment, although you have no clear interest in buying.

RANIERI
The Italian boat builder RANIERI International offers boats in the middle class segment. SUZUKI is often used as outboard motor.
Exciting videos of the various models are shown on a large video wall, such as the luxurious inflatable boat CAYMAN 27.0 SPORT TOURING, which rides the waves quickly and comfortably with 250 or 500 hp and conquers beautiful coasts.
All models can be visited at the exhibition booth without prior registration.
Some RANIERI inflatable boats with one to three SUZUKI outboard motors are also in the port in the water and can be tested if you are interested.
Pietro Ranieri has founded the company, he still personally follows every step of the production process managed by his two sons, Salvatore and Antonio.
The Family Brand, Ranieri International, launched a range of products with international features: inflatable boats (CAYMAN line, launched in 2014), and a new generation of boats (NEXT line, launched in 2016).

AMER YACHTS (PERMARE GROUP)
The manufacturer AMER belongs to the PERMARE GROUP from Sanremo.
The AMER 120 belongs with 35 meters to the super yachts and has a very modern and characteristic line. Large vertical windows let in plenty of light. A whirlpool on the terrace, a large living room with lots of teak wood and king-size beds should not be missing. Four Volvo IPS engines with a total of 4,000 hp provide a powerful drive.
Barbara Amerio is Managing Director of the PERMARE GROUP. She emphasizes the importance of innovative technologies such as 3D printers for plastic and metallic materials.

From the terrace in the blue building "Padiglione blue" you can see the AMICO & CO shipyard, which is located right next to the boat show. The company stands for Italian excellence & international leadership.
The size of the ship halls, in which yachts are serviced and repaired, is impressive. The largest crane can lift ships up to 4,000 tons. Yachts up to 90 meters in length can be serviced in the dry docks. Alberto Amico is the president, Bruno Guglielmini the managing director. The company has been successfully active for over 25 years and handles around 125 projects every year. Record sales of EUR 85 million were achieved in 2022. The segment of large yachts >70m is growing the fastest, therefore AMICO is looking for more space at the port. Most recently, investments were made in a solar system that can cover 70% of the energy consumption.

SUZUKI
The engine manufacturer has presented its new outboard series (Suzuki Dual Prop) with counter-rotating twin propellers: DF350AMD and DF300BMD.
The innovative outboard motors could be tested at the Boat Show Genoa and are available with an output from 115 hp to 350 hp.
The engine or a series of engines can be controlled with a joystick. The petrol is injected using dual injector technology.
